Please read below proof that they are fake and what to look for!!!<p> First of all, the real FBI does not use Whatsapp or Gmail. I am a victim myself. They said they'd help me claim my money lost from other thieves, and that they wanted me to work with them and pay me a substantial salary. They wanted $1200.00 down as an employment fee. Then when I reported it to the real FBI in San Diego office, they said I breached and charged me another $1000.00. The bottom line they took almost $5K from me in the last year. They said they arrested the guy that took my cyrpto money and they're holding $50K to $150K that was owed me, but I have to pay a breach fee of another $1200.00. This was the last amount they asked for right before Christmas 2022. Yea, I gave them my Christmas money the day before Christmas thinking, oh yea I'll get my money back and all will be great before Christmas. They use crypto and want you to send money to their crypto address. Well, the real FBI does not do this. I have their crypto addresses if you need to verify anything, put a comment on my blog. The real FBI will not threaten you, give you crypto addresses to send money, make you make for a breach or make you pay to have a job with them. I'm ashamed I fell victim, but I want to save others from doing the same thing. They say they're working on fighting crime with the fake Hausers on the internet and want you to work with them to get them. In the meantime, they're taking your money themselves. If you see FBI on Whatsapp, Google chat, Google gmail email, it's all FAKE!</p><p>The real FBI does not work that way. They even lied and said that the guy that took my money was arrested and gave me some Nigerian guy's photo and arrest fake document. They even said that the Director Christopher Whay was hiring me and sent me a fake letter from Washington D.C. office. </p><p>I'm forwarning you and hope this blog goes everywhere to save other victims. The Sacramento FBI office real office forewarns people that there are fake FBI agents out there out to get your money.</p><p>Right now they're using fake email ofederalbureau07@gmail.com posing as FBI agents.</p><p>Whatsapp number they're using: 202-864-1659 </p><p>(I have kept they're Whatapp chat as proof of their schemes). If they contact you, make a report on the real FBI site ic3.gov and file a complaint. </p><p>Beware - don't give them any money!</p><p>See below fake letters they gave me!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhViTc0wyjTzZStjgWBqwKzJepwBQxJvVJriVsOCxRjetaIO_04wOJ7kHNJisONwCHv4OsUMijDpgxjeLcHqXsDXk8SUfmcCtxQIH--LuOWcYWhO2CYqLK90CqAC830YWtA38rKslqzp_tQKkqPcF-xXL6PoeBxni_UlkDc6TzMteulwX4neHCbWIgY/s1170/FBI%20C%20A%20Wray%20letter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1170" data-original-width="827" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhViTc0wyjTzZStjgWBqwKzJepwBQxJvVJriVsOCxRjetaIO_04wOJ7kHNJisONwCHv4OsUMijDpgxjeLcHqXsDXk8SUfmcCtxQIH--LuOWcYWhO2CYqLK90CqAC830YWtA38rKslqzp_tQKkqPcF-xXL6PoeBxni_UlkDc6TzMteulwX4neHCbWIgY/s320/FBI%20C%20A%20Wray%20letter.jpg" width="226" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWkIG_EA_aGslNjP6TQVEDIOHTqE9oXd2V5xKos5DYbJfTAyfv-yrKZ3s4lPvtlUTvtMvgsW0D_32bfcpl_9c0VXgEfnryEpIOXSCdmJAin0JI66c3C6BPbc_I6Ijm0AW8jSOwJNVIaLCU-LCjQ2V4NaRqPawzL2cHfduqw8yMyChVLJXghQedcNyf/s1170/Ltr%20of%20Auth.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1170" data-original-width="827" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWkIG_EA_aGslNjP6TQVEDIOHTqE9oXd2V5xKos5DYbJfTAyfv-yrKZ3s4lPvtlUTvtMvgsW0D_32bfcpl_9c0VXgEfnryEpIOXSCdmJAin0JI66c3C6BPbc_I6Ijm0AW8jSOwJNVIaLCU-LCjQ2V4NaRqPawzL2cHfduqw8yMyChVLJXghQedcNyf/s320/Ltr%20of%20Auth.jpg" width="226" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><div class="blogger-post-footer">Marlene Mendoza, Executive Producer/Producer</div>Marlene Mendozahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06308139591878773818noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348615769665606231.post-36471269406292646372022-10-22T10:09:00.000-07:002022-10-22T10:09:01.917-07:00Fake Hauser Impersonators newest information<p> First of all, he'll introduce you to Bloommax Trade company. i.e. bloommaxtrade.com and it looks like you're making a lot of money in crypto, but then to find out, in order to get your money out you have to pay tax on the money to some foreign source out of Europe. No one pays taxes before they get the money. It's a fake scheme to take your money.</p><p>This is all still part of the romance scheme of him saying, "I will teach you how to make money via crypto" or whatever. But it's all a scam to take your money.</p><p>Watch out for Bloommaxtrade.com company. Watch out for Hauser impersonators that ask you for money. </p><p><br /></p><div class="blogger-post-footer">Marlene Mendoza, Executive Producer/Producer</div>Marlene Mendozahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06308139591878773818noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348615769665606231.post-51680119096334446242022-09-30T06:36:00.000-07:002022-09-30T07:00:30.604-07:00Watch out for fake Stjepan Hausers impersonators stealing his idendity and using romance scams and asking for crypto money!!!<p> It was over a year ago I met I thought to be Hauser and this guy talked me into investing in a company called Capital9.trade and another Bloommaxtrade.com and they were fake. Because once you put money in there they use a ponze scheme to make it look like you're making $29,000.00 on $2000.00 investment and when it comes time to pull out they want you to pay tax ahead of time which is illegal. For months he asked me to pay him money for steam cards because he said that's the only way to get my money. He kept saying he wanted to pay me back while asking for $240.00 a month for steam cards. Then, he had his computer system break down and needed $2000.00 to fix it in order to give me my $50K. Then, he portrayed to be the FBI investigating the situation schemin to take another $3K from me. To make a long story short. His email is hausercellostjepan058@gmail.com. His whatsapp is using Hauser name. </p><p>I'm just saying stay away from these companies, they are all fraudulent as well as him.</p><p>I'm doing okay. I have investigators working on everything. But I want to warn my friends.</p><p><br /></p><div class="blogger-post-footer">Marlene Mendoza, Executive Producer/Producer</div>Marlene Mendozahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06308139591878773818noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348615769665606231.post-33710761134210112442020-09-09T05:00:00.001-07:002020-09-09T05:00:07.212-07:00Peace is the most important thing in life! <p> Peace is more important than wealth, because when you have peace in life you will get everything that you need. Faith and love are the things that give you peace. Set your goals, but don't get greedy in life because it always backfires. Be thankful for what you have. If you're going through tough times right now, remember it's only temporary, things will get better. That's life to be going through ups and downs. Stay away from chaos, have faith, follow your faith. Things always work out in the end. Greed is the culprit to ruining lives.</p><div class="blogger-post-footer">Marlene Mendoza, Executive Producer/Producer</div>Marlene Mendozahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06308139591878773818noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348615769665606231.post-84226893354334786982020-09-08T18:19:00.003-07:002020-09-08T18:19:38.146-07:00Retired but writing my Memoir. Still have film projects for financing. Worked in Transportation last 7 years. <p> It has not been a boring retirement. I've worked with Uber for over six years. Now with Lyft for over eight years. My preference is with Lyft, because I never have to worry about being cheated. I was cheated in mileage pay with Uber. That's why I choose to only work with Lyft today. However, since the Pandemic I've only worked a few days. During subcontract unemployment, I've been upgrading my kitchen and house, etc. The advantage to being home is we are doing things we do not normally have time to do. I have also been contributing to my Memoir. I am taking my time, because as I watch a movie or hear a quote it will trigger a great memory of the past. I am determined to get the book out there within the next year. It is something I am doing for fun. Therefore, I am not rushing. I am enjoying my time home with my three dogs. They're getting more spoiled than ever. I have more time to write my son who is in another state. Daily I miss my daughter Michelle who went to heaven over four years ago. </p><p>The key is to continue to pursue your big dreams, yet find ways to pay the bills in the interim. Lyft, Uber, Doordash, Postmates, Instacart and others have helped me to pay everything along the way. However, during the Pandemic it is on hold for awhile. It's a great time for fixing up the house and memoir writing. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><div class="blogger-post-footer">Marlene Mendoza, Executive Producer/Producer</div>Marlene Mendozahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06308139591878773818noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348615769665606231.post-23946685692399486142018-07-28T14:03:00.001-07:002018-12-29T05:13:01.720-08:00Marlene's Transportation Network Referral for Cash in your pocket<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

On August 2, 2020 he would have been about 100 years old.Happy birthday to my Father. Thank you daddy for being the best father, husband to my mom, grandfather to our grandchildren, hardest worker at Boeing I ever knew. Always taking the time to take us on wonderful vacations from California all the way to Saskatchewan. Other times we went to Montreal... and to Northern California, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Texas. You name it we've traveled there. You made our California home very secure and happy. You traveled to over 50 different countries on your job to help make our world a better place. Mom always said you were a good man!<br />

<h2 style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
October 2, 1980 – May 28, 2016</h2>
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri"; font-size: large;">Michelle G. Rousso was born October 2</span><span style="font-family: "calibri"; font-size: large;">nd</span><span style="font-family: "calibri"; font-size: large;">, 1980 in Orange
County, California by her parents Eddie Rousso and Marlene Mendoza. Michelle’s
father was a Union Teamster Representative. He passed when Michelle was 7 years
old. Marlene and Michelle moved to Palm Springs, CA where they have both lived
together since. She attended Palm Spring High School. She is survived by her Mother and brother Dan Castillo. Michelle was diagnosed
with Neurofibromatosis Type II in her mid-20’s which caused her to become deaf.
Michelle was an asset to House Ear Clinic research. <b> </b></span></div>
<h3 style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Most
importantly, she was a blessing to life itself and her friends and family will
always have a place in their hearts and souls for her – as one friend
put it “you’ve touched many people with your caring heart, positive attitude,
bright and warming smile and memories of her will always bring a smile”. She was always part of her cousins and
relatives of the Pacholka family lives baking for their special events. Her cousin Mary recently
stated "she was one of the strongest girls she knew, such a good person, strong
yet with the softest and biggest heart”. She was so happy her brother Dan Castillo saw her a week before she died and they shared special moments.</span> </h3>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "calibri"; font-size: large;">Michelle passed away after a short period of declining
health due to Leukemia at home, with her family by her side on May 28</span><span style="font-family: "calibri"; font-size: large;">th</span><span style="font-family: "calibri"; font-size: large;">,
2016 at 35 years old. She is remembered by her mother, her (Pacholka) family
and her friends. Her memorial services
will be at Our Lady of Solitude at 151 W. Alejo Road, Palm Springs, CA 92262 at
10:00 a.m. on June 25, 2016.</span><span style="font-family: "calibri";"> </span></div>

I'm sure people can relate that throughout life there are a lot of ups and downs, trials and tribulations and it's how we overcome those is what matters. We can't stay dormant in the past. All we can do is focus on the present and the future. Life is full of surprises happy and sad. This book will have exciting elements in it that I'm sure we can all relate!<br />

The <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language" title="English language">English</a> word <i>Lent</i> is a shortened form of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_English" title="Old English">Old English</a> <i>len(c)ten</i>, which meant 'spring', as its cognates in the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germanic_languages" title="Germanic languages">Germanic</a> languages still do today: German <i>Lenz</i> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_language" title="Dutch language">Dutch</a> <i>lente</i>.) According to the <i>Oxford English Dictionary</i>, 'the shorter form (? Old Germanic type *<i>laŋgito</i>- , *<i>laŋgiton</i>-) seems to be a derivative of *<i>laŋgo</i>- long ... and may possibly have reference to the lengthening of the days as characterizing the season of spring'. The origin of the -<i>en</i> element is less clear: it might simply be a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suffix" title="Suffix">suffix</a>, or <i>lencten</i> might originally have been a compound of *<i>laŋgo</i>- 'long' and an otherwise little attested word *-<i>tino</i>, meaning 'day'.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-10"><span>[</span>10<span>]</span></a><br />
In languages spoken where Christianity was earlier established, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language" title="Greek language">Greek</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin" title="Latin">Latin</a>, the term used refers to its dating from the fortieth day before Easter. In modern Greek the term is Σαρακοστή, derived from earlier Τεσσαρακοστή, meaning "fortieth". The corresponding word in Latin <i>quadragesima</i> ("fortieth") is the origin of the term used in Latin-derived languages and in some others: for example, Spanish <i>cuaresma</i>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portuguese_language" title="Portuguese language">Portuguese</a> <i>quaresma</i>, French <i>carême</i>, Italian <i>quaresima</i>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanian_language" title="Romanian language">Romanian</a> <i>păresimi</i>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatian_language" title="Croatian language">Croatian</a> <i>korizma</i>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_language" title="Irish language">Irish</a> <i>Carghas</i>, and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_language" title="Welsh language">Welsh</a> <i>C(a)rawys</i>).<br />
In other languages the name used refers to the activity associated with the season. Thus it is called "fasting period" in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_language" title="German language">German</a> (<i>Fastenzeit</i>), <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_language" title="Norwegian language">Norwegian</a> (<i>fasten</i>/<i>fastetid</i>), and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czech_language" title="Czech language">Czech</a> (<i>postní doba</i>); and it is called "great fast" in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_language" title="Russian language">Russian</a> (великий пост – <i>vyeliki post</i>) and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_language" title="Polish language">Polish</a> (<i>wielki post</i>).<br />

In those churches which follow the <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rite_of_Constantinople" title="Rite of Constantinople">Rite of Constantinople</a>, i.e., the <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Orthodox" title="Eastern Orthodox">Eastern Orthodox</a> and the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantine_Rite" title="Byzantine Rite">Byzantine Rite</a> <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Catholics" title="Eastern Catholics">Eastern Catholics</a> (not all Eastern Catholics), the forty days of Lent and of fasting, which include Sundays, begin not on Ash Wednesday, but on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_Monday" title="Clean Monday">Clean Monday</a>. Lent then ends on the fortieth day from that date, which is the Friday before Palm Sunday. The days of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus_Saturday" title="Lazarus Saturday">Lazarus Saturday</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_Sunday" title="Palm Sunday">Palm Sunday</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Week" title="Holy Week">Holy Week</a> are considered a distinct period of fasting. For more detailed information about this practice of Lent, see the article <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Lent" title="Great Lent">Great Lent</a>.<br />
In addition, determination of the date of Easter in the East is not based on the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar" title="Gregorian calendar">Gregorian</a> calculations (see <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computus" title="Computus">Computus</a>). In most years this results in a difference of some weeks, which can be as many as five.<br />
Among the <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oriental_Orthodox" title="Oriental Orthodox">Oriental Orthodox</a>, there are various local traditions regarding Lent. The <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coptic_Orthodox_Church_of_Alexandria" title="Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria">Coptic</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethiopian_Orthodox_Tewahedo_Church" title="Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church">Ethiopian</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eritrean_Orthodox_Tewahedo_Church" title="Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church">Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Churches</a> observe eight weeks of Lent, which, with both Saturdays and Sunday mornings exempt, has forty days of fasting.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-RC-en-lent-duration-17"><span>[</span>17<span>]</span></a> Fast generally implies one meal a day to be taken either in the evening or after 2.45 p.m. with total abstention from meat, fats, eggs and dairy products. Instead they use cereals, vegetables and other type of food devoid of fats. Smoking is a breach of the fast, which runs for a total of 56 days.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-19"><span>[</span>19<span>]</span></a><br />
Others attribute these seven days to the fast of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holofernes" title="Holofernes">Holofernes</a> who asked the Syrian Christians to fast for him after they requested his assistance to repel the invading pagan Persians. <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joyous_Saturday" title="Joyous Saturday">Joyous Saturday</a> and the week preceding it are counted separately from the forty-day fast in accordance with the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostolic_Constitutions" title="Apostolic Constitutions">Apostolic Constitutions</a> giving an extra eight days.<br />

One calculation has been that the season of Lent last from <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ash_Wednesday" title="Ash Wednesday">Ash Wednesday</a> to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Saturday" title="Holy Saturday">Holy Saturday</a>.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-EWTN-20"><span>[</span>20<span>]</span></a><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Luther_League_of_America-21"><span>[</span>21<span>]</span></a> This calculation makes Lent last 46 days, if the 6 Sundays are included, but only 40, if they are excluded,<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-22"><span>[</span>22<span>]</span></a> because there is no obligation to fast on the six Sundays in Lent.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-EWTN-20"><span>[</span>20<span>]</span></a><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Luther_League_of_America-21"><span>[</span>21<span>]</span></a> This definition is still that of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglican_Communion" title="Anglican Communion">Anglican Church</a>,<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Kitch_130-23"><span>[</span>23<span>]</span></a> <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lutheran_World_Federation" title="Lutheran World Federation">Lutheran Church</a>,<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Northwestern_Publishing_House-24"><span>[</span>24<span>]</span></a> <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Methodist_Council" title="World Methodist Council">Methodist Church</a>,<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Langford_96-25"><span>[</span>25<span>]</span></a> and <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western-Rite_Orthodox_Churches" title="Western-Rite Orthodox Churches">Western Rite Orthodox Church</a>.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Fenton-26"><span>[</span>26<span>]</span></a><br />

The number forty has many Biblical references: the forty days <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses" title="Moses">Moses</a> spent on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_Mount_Sinai" title="Biblical Mount Sinai">Mount Sinai</a> with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_in_Christianity" title="God in Christianity">God</a> (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Exodus&verse=24:18&src=HE">Exodus 24:18</a>); the forty days and nights <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elijah" title="Elijah">Elijah</a> spent walking to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Horeb" title="Mount Horeb">Mount Horeb</a> (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=1%20Kings&verse=19:8&src=HE">1 Kings 19:8</a>); the forty days and nights God sent rain in the great flood of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noah" title="Noah">Noah</a> (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Genesis&verse=7:4&src=HE">Genesis 7:4</a>); the forty years the Hebrew people wandered in the desert while traveling to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promised_Land" title="Promised Land">Promised Land</a> (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Numbers&verse=14:33&src=HE">Numbers 14:33</a>); the forty days <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonah" title="Jonah">Jonah</a> gave in his prophecy of <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgment" title="Judgment">judgment</a> to the city of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineveh" title="Nineveh">Nineveh</a> in which to repent or be destroyed (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Jonah&verse=3:4&src=HE">Jonah 3:4</a>).<br />
Jesus retreated into the wilderness, where He fasted for forty days, and was tempted by the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil_in_Christianity" title="Devil in Christianity">devil</a> (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Matthew&verse=4:1%E2%80%932&src=KJV">Matthew 4:1–2</a>, <a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Mark&verse=1:12%E2%80%9313&src=KJV">Mark 1:12–13</a>, <a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Luke&verse=4:1%E2%80%932&src=KJV">Luke 4:1–2</a>). He overcame all three of Satan's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temptation" title="Temptation">temptations</a> by citing scripture to the devil, at which point the devil left him, angels ministered to Jesus, and He began His <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_ministry" title="Christian ministry">ministry</a>. Jesus further said that His disciples should fast "when the bridegroom shall be taken from them" (<a class="external text" href="http://tools.wmflabs.org/bibleversefinder/?book=Matthew&verse=9:15&src=KJV">Matthew 9:15</a>), a reference to his Passion. Since, presumably, the Apostles fasted as they mourned the death of Jesus, Christians have traditionally fasted during the annual commemoration of his burial.<br />
It is the traditional belief that Jesus lay for forty hours in the tomb<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-RC-en-lent-duration-17"><span>[</span>17<span>]</span></a> which led to the forty hours of total fast that preceded the Easter celebration in the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_Christianity" title="Early Christianity">early Church</a><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-27"><span>[</span>27<span>]</span></a> (the biblical reference to 'three days in the tomb' is understood by them as <i>spanning</i> three days, from Friday afternoon to early Sunday morning, rather than three 24-hour periods of time). Some Christian denominations, such as The Way International and Logos Apostolic Church of God,<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-28"><span>[</span>28<span>]</span></a> as well as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglicanism" title="Anglicanism">Anglican</a> scholar <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._W._Bullinger" title="E. W. Bullinger">E. W. One of the most important ceremonies at Easter is the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism" title="Baptism">baptism</a> of the initiates on Easter Eve. The fast was initially undertaken by the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catechumen" title="Catechumen">catechumens</a> to prepare them for the reception of this <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacrament" title="Sacrament">sacrament</a>. Later, the period of fasting from <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday" title="Good Friday">Good Friday</a> until Easter Day was extended to six days, to correspond with the six weeks of training, necessary to give the final instruction to those <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_conversion" title="Religious conversion">converts</a> who were to be baptized.<br />
Converts to Catholicism followed a strict <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catechumenate" title="Catechumenate">catechumenate</a> or period of instruction and discipline prior to baptism. In <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem" title="Jerusalem">Jerusalem</a> near the close of the fourth century, classes were held throughout Lent for three hours each day. With the legalization of Christianity (by the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edict_of_Milan" title="Edict of Milan">Edict of Milan</a>) and its later imposition as the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_religion" title="State religion">state religion</a> of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Empire" title="Roman Empire">Roman Empire</a>, its character was endangered by the great influx of new members. In response, the Lenten fast and practices of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asceticism#Christianity" title="Asceticism">self-renunciation</a> were required annually of all Christians, both to show solidarity with the catechumens, and for their own spiritual benefit.<br />

There are traditionally forty days in Lent which are marked by fasting, both from foods and festivities, and by other acts of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penance" title="Penance">penance</a>. The three traditional practices to be taken up with renewed vigour during Lent are <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer" title="Prayer">prayer</a> (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice" title="Justice">justice</a> towards God), fasting (justice towards self), and <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almsgiving" title="Almsgiving">almsgiving</a> (justice towards neighbour).<br />
However, in modern times, observers give up an action of theirs considered to be a vice, add something that is considered to be able to bring them closer to God, and often give the time or money spent doing that to <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charitable_cause" title="Charitable cause">charitable</a> purposes or organizations.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-30"><span>[</span>30<span>]</span></a><br />
In addition, some believers add a regular spiritual discipline, such as reading a Lenten <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_devotional" title="Daily devotional">daily devotional</a>.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-Crumm-6"><span>[</span>6<span>]</span></a> Another practice commonly added is the singing of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stabat_Mater" title="Stabat Mater">Stabat Mater</a> hymn in designated groups. Among Filipino Catholics, the recitation of Jesus Christ' passion called <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasiong_Mahal" title="Pasiong Mahal">Pasiong Mahal</a> is also observed. In some Christian countries, grand religious processions and cultural customs are observed, and the faithful attempt to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Churches_Visitation" title="Seven Churches Visitation">visit seven churches</a> during Holy Week in honor of Jesus Christ heading to <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Calvary" title="Mount Calvary">Mount Calvary</a>.<br />
In many <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liturgy" title="Liturgy">liturgical</a> <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_denominations" title="Christian denominations">Christian denominations</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday" title="Good Friday">Good Friday</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Saturday" title="Holy Saturday">Holy Saturday</a> and <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Sunday" title="Easter Sunday">Easter Sunday</a> form the <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Triduum" title="Easter Triduum">Easter Triduum</a>.<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent#cite_note-31"><span>[</span>31<span>]</span></a> Lent is a season of grief that necessarily ends with a great celebration of Easter. It is known in <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Orthodox" title="Eastern Orthodox">Eastern Orthodox</a> circles as the season of "Bright Sadness." It is a season of sorrowful <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Introspection" title="Introspection">reflection</a> which is punctuated by breaks in the fast on Sundays.<br />
